René is a Senior Urban Designer at Fotenn’s Ottawa office with extensive experience in architecture, urban and interior design practice. His design process is based on a thorough understanding of the physical, sustainable, cultural, and economical aspects of each project. With a multi-disciplinary approach to design, he seeks the integration of urban form and sustainable practices.

René has coordinated multiple complex architectural designs and led cross-functional teams while working on a variety of complex architectural (residential and hotels) and urban design projects in Brazil. René holds a Graduate Certificate in Project Management, a bachelor’s degree in Architecture & Urbanism and a diploma in Building Technology.
