Genessa is a Planner at Fotenn’s Ottawa office and graduate of the Master of Urban and Regional Planning program at Queen’s University. She currently assists with a variety of policy and development work at Fotenn, including supporting development application preparation, affordable and supportive housing projects, and municipal policy review.

Genessa has a background in geographic information systems, with experience working for a municipality and the federal government. While at Queen’s University, Genessa co-authored the Enhanced Pathway Standards & Recommendations report (2022) which was endorsed by the Campus Master Planning Advisory Committee. Genessa also has previous experience contributing research and writing to published works on innovative, affordable and sustainable housing.
