Led by the Town’s Economic Development Team, the Downtown Alcona Visualization project assesses and visualizes the potential development of Downtown Alcona in order to entice developers and landowners, and work towards the creation of meaningful mixed-use development.

As the Town of Innisfil begins to transition from rural to urban, it will be important to focus development within Downtown Alcona, the main settlement area, and equally important that this development occurs with a consistent vision. Fotenn has illustrated and visualized the future development potential along a portion of Downtown Alcona, to show a consistent vision to potential developers and owners as the Town works to create more meaningful places. We transformed our hand-sketches, concepts and ideas into a series of well-developed visualizations, illustrated initially through simple massing to illustrate the lot consolidation, and land use and built form related policies to a series of highly detailed highly-realistic visualizations, that included pedestrian level renderings and axonometric views. As part of this project, Fotenn also developed an animation that provides a ‘fly through’ perspective of the development potential of the area.
