Clarkson GO Transit Oriented Community
A new Transit Oriented Community in Clarkson GO Station.
Fotenn was retained by Infrastructure Ontario (IO) to prepare a Transit Oriented Communities (TOC) Development Proposal Submission at Clarkson GO Station to the City of Mississauga for the property municipally known as 2130 Bromsgrove Road (TOC development). The property contains the Clarkson GO Station with supporting surface parking facilities.
Fotenn has led the creation of development objectives and initial concepts, preparation of the site layout, production of an urban design study and crafting of associated policy amendments to guide the development. The project has involved public engagement and ongoing government and agency review. Fotenn also coordinated and led the broader project team in the conceptual design stages and preparation of supporting technical studies.
The resulting plan will establish a complete, mixed-use community consisting of introducing seven (7) towers. The Clarkson TOC development will introduce new residential units and at-grade retail space. A comprehensive road network and connected public realm are proposed to link the site with the broader community, incorporating multimodal paths, public and private rights-of-way (ROW), and Privately-Owned Publicly- Accessible Spaces (POPS).
