A progressive, thoughtfully designed residential subdivision.
Fotenn provided planning and urban design services to support the redevelopment of lands located at Part of Lot 11, Concession 7 in the Village of Westport. The project comprises a thoughtfully designed residential subdivision of approximately 50+ lots and blocks. A previously approved draft plan of subdivision was refined to introduce a more progressive and context-sensitive layout, requiring updated planning approvals and a revised planning rationale.
Fotenn prepared a Planning Justification Report in support of the revised draft plan and proposed Zoning By-law Amendment provisions. Fotenn worked closely with the Village of Westport and the County of Leeds and Grenville to confirm submission requirements and advance the project efficiently through the municipal approvals process. Services also included project management, agency coordination, application monitoring, and representation at statutory public meetings and Council.
In parallel with the planning process, Fotenn’s urban design team played a key role in shaping and communicating the vision for the community. Urban design services included the preparation of rendered site plans, phasing plans, sections and elevations, trailhead signage concepts, and a range of 3D modelling and graphical materials. These graphics supported both the planning approvals process and the client’s marketing objectives by clearly illustrating the character, form, and intent of the proposed development.
