Alex obtained an undergraduate degree in Commerce from the University of Ottawa. She has studied sustainable residential design techniques, and certification programs such as LEED, BREEAM, and Net Zero. Alex studied a Master’s of Real Estate Economics minoring in Urban Planning in Helsinki and the Netherlands which offered a strong focus on land valuation and recapture of investments in sustainable infrastructure. Alex brings European perspectives on planning and design to Fotenn, with accompanying experience in private development and planning consulting in the Eastern Ontario region. She has a particular interest in multi-modal transportation planning and enhancing active transportation initiatives.
