Margo retired in September, 2024 after more than 35 years as a practicing Urban Planner and 17 years of dedicated service with Fotenn.
Margo started her early career in the public sector working at multiple municipalities in the Niagara Region, as well as for the Niagara Region Conservation Authority. She then moved to Kingston and spent nearly a decade at the Township of Kingston, then the amalgamated City of Kingston, before joining the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. Margo joined Fotenn in 2007, quickly transitioning from a contract position to opening and leading Fotenn’s new Kingston office in 2008. With the help of some great people along the way, Margo built Fotenn into one of the premiere planning firms in Kingston and across eastern Ontario. In 2014, Margo became a Partner at Fotenn, joining Miguel Tremblay and Brian Casagrande in acquiring Fotenn from founding Partners Robert Tennant and Ted Fobert. Shifting her focus to business operations, Margo assumed the role of Managing Partner, where her leadership was instrumental in shaping Fotenn into the organization it is today. Her vision, guidance, and passion have left a lasting mark on our team and the communities we serve.
