Expansion Lands Secondary Plan

A Plan that will ensure future growth occurs in an efficient, orderly and sustainable manner.

The Expansion Lands had been identified for future urban development and are expected to accommodate a large proportion of future urban growth in the City of Clarence-Rockland. Fotenn prepared a Secondary Plan to ensure that future growth occurs in an efficient, orderly, and sustainable manner.

The Secondary Plan serves as a land use planning policy document which establishes policy directions for urban development. Key components of the Secondary Plan include a set of goals and objectives, as well as policies and guidelines that provide direction for implementing the high-level policies of the Official Plan at a local scale. Development applications within the expansion area will be required to conform with the policies of the Secondary Plan, the City’s Official Plan, and United Counties of Prescott and Russell Official Plan.
