Innisfil Civic Campus Precinct Visualizations
Helping visualize the future evolution of the Innisfil Civic Campus Precinct.
Fotenn was retained by the Town of Innisfil to help visualize how their Civic Campus Precinct would evolve over time. The Civic Campus Precinct is currently home to Innisfil Town Hall, YMCA Recreational Centre, Kempenfelt Bay School, Rizzardo Health Centre, South Simcoe Police Station and other municipal facilities/offices such as operations. The Civic Campus Master Plan envisions this area as the primary node/destination for civic, health and cultural uses. The Master Plan proposed a health node at the corner of Yonge Street and Innisfil Beach Road, a cultural node towards the northern entrance to the precinct that would feature a community centre and theatre, an expansion of the existing recreational centre, and mixed-use development, including a hotel and conference centre at the southern/Yonge Street entrance.
Our team was tasked with the design and visualization of all buildings, public realm and streetscapes. The design introduces a hierarchical street and open space network that builds on the site’s recreational and cultural amenities, proximity to environmental areas and existing built form. These visualizations will help the Town complete their Master Plan and be used to guide and attract future planning and policy frameworks for the area.
